Saturday 25th February at 10:00am – 4:00pm
Join Katie from print and design studio tablet+HAAR for a day of working in an experimental, free flowing way using simple relief printmaking techniques. We will layer pattern, line and texture without fear of getting it wrong or making it perfect to create a collection of papers that can be used for collage, mixed media work and developmental sketchbook practice. The day is for anyone who loves colour and pattern and getting their fingers inky or those looking to loosen up and explore new directions. A basic understanding of how to mix colours would be an advantage.

Please bring imagery with you that you find inspiring and would like to base your visual exploration on. For example, images of: flowers and foliage, patterns found in urban landscapes, historical textiles, animal print, colour swatches etc
Most materials will be provided but you may also wish to bring any scraps of paper, envelopes, tickets etc that you would like to print on; as well as an apron, your favourite pair of scissors, pencils, marker pens, and brushes suitable for painting washes of colour. Course fee £55 including some materials.
