We welcome back Perthshire based artist and designer Clare Robinson to the Arthouse for a relaxing and therapeutic workshop devoted to the art of watercolour painting. Clare, who has a BA Hons in Textile Design is a watercolour artist and textile designer with a fascinating career collaborating with British Heritage brands and designing bespoke artwork and prints for homewares and magazines. Her beautiful work, which you can see on her website, shows her love for the painterly and softly drawn images.

Clare is also a highly experienced teacher and hosts workshops and wellbeing events across the UK.

In this one-day Friday workshop, you will learn how to illustrate seasonal early autumn flowers and foliage, experimenting with loose style watercolour technique to convey the beautiful rich colours and textures of the season. The class is designed to introduce beginners and intermediates to the medium of watercolour, helping you to develop and nurture your own style.

Clare will demonstrate over the day and there will be plenty of one-on-one guidance to help enhance your observation and expressive painting skills.

The workshop will include all art materials and flowers, but if you have your own materials you are more than welcome to bring them along.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
