Make a Felted Seamless Cushion

Create your own unique, seamless felted cushion using the ancient art of wet felting. In this hands-on workshop tutored by Trish O’Meara, you’ll learn how to design and decorate a cushion cover using wool roving, batting and pre-felt, along with adding texture and colour with wool yarns, silk and viscose fibres.

You’ll explore simple design techniques to create patterns or abstract artwork while learning how different natural fibres bond together during the felting process. Once your design is complete, you’ll use traditional wet felting methods to fuse the layers into a strong, seamless cushion with a beautifully tactile finish.

This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some felting experience. By the end of the session, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind handmade felted cushion and the skills and confidence to continue exploring seamless felt-making at home.

All materials are provided, including roving, pre-felt, wool, yarns, silk fibres, and embellishments.
